Arriving Over the National Day Holiday - Up to the Third Floor

The reception at Clube Rio

Thursday 1 October and Friday 2 October 2026 are Macau public holidays, and with the weekend that follows they form one of the busier arrival periods of the year, with city-centre traffic heavier than usual. “I know Hotel Rio — but how do I get to the third floor?” has been the most common message since opening. The following covers every step from stepping out of the car to sitting down, so a first visit involves no wasted walking.

What to tell a taxi

“Hotel Rio” works, as does the address: 33 Rua de Luís Gonzaga Gomes, near Alameda Dr. Carlos d’Assumpção. Any driver on the peninsula knows it, and from the Lisboa and Wynn area it is walkable.

Lobby to third floor

Enter the hotel lobby and take the lift to the third floor; Clube Rio’s frontage faces you as you step out. Give your booking name at reception and you are shown through — kerb to seated, usually within five minutes.

The easier version

As of September 2026, booking through this site arranges a complimentary private car: pickup anywhere in Macau, straight to the Hotel Rio entrance, with the return equally complimentary and running into the small hours to your hotel, the airport or the ferry pier. Please give a pickup point and time at booking; a message follows when the car is in position. Roads are busier over a long holiday, so this removes the trouble of arranging transport yourself.

The order of things on arrival

After your booking name at reception, you are shown to your room. Rooms range from the main hall through VIP rooms, party rooms, themed rooms and suites, chosen by headcount and occasion; if you have one in mind, please say so at booking. Rooms carry high-definition sound, and as of September 2026 every package includes an hour of hotel-room massage, so the evening can move from singing to unwinding. There is no parade here.

Common questions

May hotel guests come straight up? Yes — the lift to the third floor. Booking first secures a room.

Is the transfer genuinely complimentary? As of September 2026, both directions, when booked through this site.

Is there a car after a late finish? Yes; return transfers run throughout trading hours.

Should I book ahead over the holiday? Confirming a day ahead is advisable; rooms fill earlier in peak periods.

Can a larger group be accommodated? Yes; please state the number at booking so the right room and vehicle are arranged.

Clube Rio offers no overnight accommodation, and rooms are served until closing. As of September 2026 packages run MOP 3,888 to 6,288, with service charge and tax already inside those figures, so the board price is what you settle. To arrange a car now, message us; we reply late into the night. Should arrangements change, what Clube Rio publishes on the day prevails, confirmed for you at booking.
