Which Room, and for How Many: Choosing at Clube Rio

A VIP room at Clube Rio

“We’d like to come this Saturday night.”

That is where most enquiries stop. Not how many are coming, and not what the night is for — which is a pity, because those two answers are exactly what decides the room we open for you. Two or three close friends want a different room from a whole crew. A birthday wants a different room from the second half of an evening that started over dinner. Get the room right and everyone settles the moment they sit down; get it wrong and you spend the night working around the sofa.

Five rooms, five kinds of night

The rooms at Clube Rio are not one design in five sizes. Crystal chandeliers, the wall of roses, gilded artwork, orange leather sofas and cloud-pattern carpet appear in different proportions from room to room, and the rooms themselves come in a range of sizes, so the feeling changes as you step through each door.

RoomBest for
Main hallThe showpiece under the chandeliers: welcoming people in, warming the night up, starting with some grandeur
VIP roomGilded artwork and velvet drapes — the room for hosting, where conversation and singing share the evening
Party roomBuilt for a crew: sound up, lights along with it, the more voices the better
Themed roomEach with its own decor, the one regulars name when they want a change of scene
SuitePrivacy on top of privacy, for a few friends singing their way into the small hours

Two situations come up most often. One is a birthday, where people arrive in waves, the first few already picking songs while the cake waits outside the door for its cue — that night belongs in the party room. The other is the group that has just finished dinner and is nowhere near finished talking; a suite or a themed room gives them a new setting, and the conversation carries straight on.

Still torn between two? Send us the headcount and the occasion and we will make the call for you at no charge. Photographs of each room are on the rooms page, and the gallery shows the venue as it actually looks.

Once the door closes

Close the door and the corridor goes quiet. The sound system is ready, a companion sits with you to sing and drink alongside the group, and by the end of the first song the room has warmed up on its own: someone is queueing the next track, someone else is pouring, and the lighting moves with the beat.

Everything happens inside that room — there is nothing to leave your seat for. Look up from the orange leather and there is a chandelier; turn your head and there is the wall of roses. First-time guests tend to pause for half a second before they remember the microphone in their hand. When the singing has run its course, the spa massage included in the package takes over and brings the night down gently. The whole sequence is set out on the how it works page.

After seven, and how the hours work

Clube Rio trades from 19:00 to 04:00 the following morning, every day. The companion shift runs 19:00 to 04:00 as well, so the two windows coincide and the room is fully staffed whenever you walk in.

There is no overnight stay here and no sleeping rooms — this is an evening venue: the night is enjoyed and finished the same night. Your ride back is arranged in advance.

What the night costs

As of September 2026 the published package tiers are: Viet-style Model at MOP 3,888 for WALK IN (spa only) and 4,688 for Free-flow (drinks plus spa); Tang-style Standard at 4,988 and 5,688; Tang-style Model at 5,388 and 6,288.

The Free-flow version includes the drinks and the WALK IN version does not, which is the whole of the difference between the two figures. More important is the nature of the board price: it already includes the 10% service charge, so what is printed is what you settle, with nothing added at the end of the night — a relief on a night with a lot of people in the room. The full breakdown sits on the packages page. Rates follow what Clube Rio posts on the day, and we confirm them with you when you book.

Two things to tell us before you set off

First, how many. Second, what the night is for. With those two lines we will have the room and the package ready for you, and all you do on the night is walk in. Booking through this site also carries two perks: a free private car, arranged both to the club and back afterwards, and free consultation — ask us first when you cannot decide between rooms or packages.

Clube Rio is on the third floor of Hotel Rio, in the NAPE district of the Macau peninsula near Alameda Dr. Carlos d’Assumpção. The address is on the location page, the smaller details on the FAQ page, and every way to reach us on the reservations page.

Frequently asked

There are only two or three of us. Is a private room still worth it?

Yes. With a small group the suite and the themed rooms work best — private enough, and the mood does not drain away into an empty room. The song queue comes round faster, too.

We are a whole crew. Which room?

The party room is built for exactly that, with the sound and lighting set up for a full room. If the evening is more about hosting guests, the VIP room carries it better.

What time should we arrive?

Any time after 19:00. The room is the same all night, so arriving earlier simply gives you more of it; arriving late is no problem either, and the ride back is arranged as usual.

How do we get home afterwards?

Clube Rio closes at 04:00 and has no overnight accommodation. Book through this site and the private car back to your hotel is free as well.

That Saturday-night message only needs two more lines: how many of you, and what the night is for. Add them and the right room will be waiting; once the door closes, the rest is up to the sound system.
